For quite some time, we have been dreaming of a larger Day Center space that will better serve our families and staff. As the vision of Family Promise expands to include new programs and initiatives, our need for space has grown!
We're excited to announce that the Lord has blessed us with an amazing new space. Located at 1001 Riverside Drive, between Rick's Smokin' Pig and Zaxby's, it's close to two bus stops and is a GREAT location for us. Even better than that, we're tripling our space size! This means more storage space for families, more office space for our staff, and a little bit more room for our families to spread out. We think it will improve the quality of the families experience and enable us to host more classes, programs, and meetings on site. Another incredible feature of this property is the on-site basement storage that will be used for collecting furniture for graduating families. The ability to move this storage from our off-site location frees us up to receive donations throughout the week! By far the best part of this entire process is that the owners have agreed to keep our rent the SAME that we currently pay. This space is easily worth triple our current rent. We're amazed and appreciate these owners and their enormous generosity! We will begin moving piece by piece in the coming weeks. Our operations will officially switch to the new property on Monday January 4th. We will need all the help we can get packing and cleaning up. We hope to have more specific dates to share in the coming weeks. We realize this is a crazy time of year but maybe this will be a great project for you and your family to take part in this season. We'll post updates on Facebook pretty regularly. The best way to stay updated is to subscribe to our email updates (to the right). Thanks for all your support! Here's to an exciting new chapter for Family Promise. Many thanks, Lindsey, Laura, and Amanda The Family Promise Staff
