GREETER: This job is so important as you are the first person the shopper has contact with AND you’ll help with monitoring the flow of shoppers as we are following distance safety protocols. You will be greeting the guest outside under the covered patio area, offering a mask if they don’t have one and then directing the shopper to one of the two Welcome Tables when a seat is available.
WELCOME HOST: You will be seated under the covered patio area. Your role is to find the shopper’s pre-filled out form in the binder and then direct the shopper to the next available Personal Shopper. If a Personal Shopper is not available, patrons will be asked to take a seat in a chair (chairs will be 6 ft apart) or wait in their car and you will call them when their turn is nearing. Patrons will shop in the order that they arrive.
PERSONAL SHOPPER: As a personal shopper you have the distinct opportunity to build relationships with the shopper as you help guide them through the tables of toys and help them choose just the right gift. There will only be 3 Personal Shoppers circulating amongst tables spaced 6 ft apart and walking in one direction (you’ll follow the arrows on the floor). You’ll also have a form specific to each family with information related to each child’s name and age to help you guide parents/guardians in the shopping process. The form will be turned into the cashier when the shopper is ready to pay. Training for Personal Shoppers will be provided 30 minutes before your shift as well as the opportunity to shadow with another Personal Shopper if you so desire.
CASHIER: This is the one job where you won’t move around! Taking cash, making change, collecting the shopper’s form and handling the distribution of gift cards will be the main responsibilities. Patrons will wait behind the marked line and approach you one shopper at a time.
GIFT WRAPPING STATION: Here’s where you can really get in the Christmas Spirit! We’ll have a table set up with wrapping paper, gift bags, tissue paper and gift tags available to wrap purchased gifts. Find a family member or COVID safe friend to wrap with you as you will be distanced from the main store area. Personal Shoppers will deliver the gifts to you and patrons will be asked to sit in a chair 6 ft away from you.
GIFT WRAPPING ASSISTANT: Want to be a part of the wrapping fun without actually wrapping? This is the job for you! You will work alongside the gift wrappers and assist them by replenishing wrapping paper, gift bags and trash bags as needed. After gifts are wrapped and placed on the rolling cart, you’ll lead the family out the building and to their car. Your smiling face will be the last thing the family sees - so the desire to smile is a plus!
