Christmas Promise Store Volunteering
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Toy Unboxing & Inventory
This occurs before the actual opening of the Christmas Promise Store, generally around the end of November. We need help opening all the Amazon and Target boxes full of donated toys that are delivered to the Homestead. Toys are counted and then sorted for display.

Store Greeter
This job is crucial as you are the first person the shopper has contact with. You will be greeting guests and then directing them to one of the two Welcome Tables when a seat is available.

Welcome Host
This position directs guests to the next available Personal Shopper. If a Personal Shopper is not available, patrons will be asked to take a seat or wait in their car. The Welcome Host will be in charge of calling guests as their turn nears.

Personal Shopper
Personal Shoppers have the distinct job of building relationships with guests as they guide guests through the tables of toys and help them choose just the right gifts for their kid(s). Personal Shoppers will be given a form specific to each family with information regarding the children’s names and ages to aid in the shopping process.

Cashier
This is the one job where you won’t move around! Taking cash, making change, and collecting the guests' forms will be the main responsibilities of this position.

Gift Bagging
This job has two parts: putting purchased toys in bags and offering rolls of wrapping paper for shoppers to take home with them to wrap their gifts.
